Like many of you, we are concerned about the environment in which we live, work and travel. At Bellbird Lodge we are committed to preserving the beautiful environment of New Zealand, to keep it clean and green so that future generations can visit and enjoy its beauty too.

Without compromising the enjoyment and comfort of our guests or the quality of their experience here, we give regard to environmental and social issues to reduce the impact of our business on the wider natural and social environment in which we live and ultimately depend.

We buy local produce, and New Zealand made products if we possibly can. We reduce, reuse, recycle and compost wherever possible.

We have implemented energy efficient, conservation, waste management and water conservation practices, and are involved in community projects.

Products and services that are used here are constantly under review to ensure that they meet with our social and environmental criteria ie. distance travelled from source, biodegradeability, efficiency rating, and recylability.

We are committed to the conservation and preservation of the beautiful natural environment of New Zealand, particularly the Abel Tasman area.
